Day wise Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Gangtok (125 km / ~4–5 Hours)
Arrival: Meet your representative at Bagdogra Airport (IXB).
The Journey: Enjoy a scenic drive along the Teesta River towards Gangtok (approx. 5,480 ft).
Evening: Check into your hotel and take a leisurely walk on MG Marg, the city's pedestrian-only shopping and food hub.
Stay: Overnight at a hotel in Gangtok.
Day 2: Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir Excursion
Glacial Beauty: Drive to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft), a sacred glacial lake often frozen in winter.
Baba Mandir: Visit the memorial temple dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh, a revered Indian Army soldier.
Optional: If a permit is secured, extend your trip to Nathu La Pass (14,140 ft) on the Indo-China border.
Stay: Overnight at a hotel in Gangtok.
Day 3: Gangtok to Lachung (103 km / ~6 Hours)
Travel North: Depart early for Lachung (8,610 ft). The journey is long but features several pitstops.
Scenic Stops: Visit Seven Sisters Waterfalls, Naga Waterfalls, and the Singhik View Point for glimpses of Mt. Kanchenjunga.
Chungthang: Stop at the confluence of the Lachen and Lachung rivers before reaching the mountain village.
Stay: Overnight at a hotel or homestay in Lachung.
Day 4: Yumthang Valley & Zero Point Excursion
Valley of Flowers: Visit Yumthang Valley (11,800 ft), famous for its meadows and the Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary.
Zero Point: Continue further to Yumesamdong (Zero Point) at 15,300 ft, where the road ends and snow is visible nearly year-round.
Leisure: Return to Lachung and visit the Lachung Monastery, built in 1880.
Stay: Overnight at a hotel or homestay in Lachung.
Day 5: Lachung to Gangtok (103 km / ~6 Hours)
Return Drive: After breakfast, depart Lachung for the return journey to Gangtok.
Relaxation: Upon arrival in Gangtok, spend your evening exploring the local markets for handicrafts or tasting local Sikkimese cuisine like Thukpa.
Stay: Overnight at a hotel in Gangtok.
Day 6: Gangtok to Darjeeling (98 km / ~3.5–4 Hours)
Travel to Bengal: Head south towards the "Queen of Hills," Darjeeling (approx. 6,700 ft).
Local Entry: Check into your hotel and enjoy the cool mountain air. You can spend the evening at Chowrasta (The Mall).
Stay: Overnight at a hotel in Darjeeling.
Day 7: Darjeeling Full-Day Sightseeing
Tiger Hill Sunrise: Early morning (4:00 AM) drive to Tiger Hill for a spectacular sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga.
Ghoom & Batasia: On the way back, visit the Ghoom Monastery and the Batasia Loop war memorial.
Day Tour: After breakfast, visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, and take a ride on the Darjeeling Ropeway.
Stay: Overnight at a hotel in Darjeeling.
Day 8: Departure to Bagdogra (67 km / ~2.5–3 Hours)
Farewell: After breakfast, depart for Bagdogra Airport.
