1 Night white Desert + 2 Nights Bhuj
Day 1: Ahmedabad to White Desert (Dhordo)
Morning Departure: Start early (approx. 6:00 AM) from Ahmedabad for a 7-hour drive (335 km) to Dhordo. Alternatively, take a morning flight (1h) or train (6.5h) to Bhuj and hire a taxi.
Check-in & Lunch: Arrive at the White Rann Tent City or a local resort like White Desert Resort around 12:30 PM for a traditional Kutchi lunch.
Sunset at the Rann: Around 5:00 PM, take a camel cart or bus to the White Desert. Witness the salt flats turn pink and gold as the sun sets.
Evening Cultural Program: Return to the camp for dinner followed by folk music and dance performances under the stars.
Stay: Overnight in a luxury tent at Dhordo
Day 2: Kala Dungar to Bhuj
Sunrise at the Rann: Wake up early to see the sun rise over the shimmering white desert.
Kala Dungar (Black Hill): After breakfast, drive to the highest point in Kutch for a panoramic view of the Great Rann.
Handicraft Village: Visit Gandhi Nu Gaam or Nirona to see local artisans practicing rare crafts like Rogan painting and copper bell making.
Transit to Bhuj: Drive back to Bhuj (approx. 2 hours/85 km).
Evening: Visit the Swaminarayan Temple, a white marble architectural marvel that is beautifully illuminated at night.
Stay: Overnight at a hotel in Bhuj
Day 3: Bhuj Local & Heritage Exploration
Morning Heritage Tour: Visit the Aina Mahal (Hall of Mirrors) and the adjacent Italian Gothic-style Prag Mahal.
Museum Visit: Explore the Kutch Museum, the oldest in Gujarat, to see tribal artefacts and 2000-year-old inscriptions.
Resilience & Memorial: Spend the afternoon at Smritivan Earthquake Memorial & Museum on Bhujia Hill, which features a world-class earthquake simulator.
Sunset & Shopping: Catch the sunset at the Royal Cenotaphs (Chattardi) or Hamirsar Lake. Later, shop for Bandhani textiles at the Old City Market or Bhujodi (8 km from Bhuj).
Stay: Second night stay in Bhuj.
Day 4: Mandvi Excursion & Return to Ahmedabad
Mandvi Beach: Drive to Mandvi (60 km from Bhuj) to visit the grand Vijay Vilas Palace and the active shipbuilding yard where wooden ships are still made by hand.
Lunch & Departure: Have lunch in Mandvi or Bhuj before starting the return journey to Ahmedabad.
Arrival in Ahmedabad: Reach Ahmedabad by late night (approx. 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM)
